A restaurant receipt is usually gone once you leave the table, but a copy often exists. Orders placed in a chain's app, and anything ordered through DoorDash, Uber Eats or SkipTheDishes, keep a receipt in the order history, often with the tax broken out. For a meal paid at the counter or the table, some chains can resend a receipt when the card you paid with is linked to their app or rewards program.
