For a Taco Bell app or web order, the receipt arrives by email, and Taco Bell does not let you opt out of these order emails. Your orders also appear under My Orders in the app. For an in-store purchase, the printed receipt is your copy, and the barcode at the bottom can be scanned into the Taco Bell app to earn Rewards points.
Order emails
Marketing emails, push notifications and texts can all be switched off. Order email updates cannot: Taco Bell keeps sending your order receipt and any order cancellation confirmation, because you will want to see them anyway.
My Orders and Need Help
If you already picked up your order and something is wrong, open My Orders in the app and tap Need Help?. For any other order, submit a request through Taco Bell's Contact Us form. Phone support is at 1-800-TACOBELL, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm PST.
Scanning an in-store receipt for points
- Open the Taco Bell app and go to Rewards.
- Scroll to the bottom of My Rewards.
- Tap Redeem in the Don't Miss Out on Points section.
- Scan your receipt or enter the code manually.
The app needs camera access for the scan. Points should appear within 48 hours.
When the receipt will not scan
A dark room or a wrinkled receipt can stop the scanner. Type the numbers printed under the barcode into the app instead; it works the same way.
No barcode at all? If you checked in with the app at the drive-thru, or entered your loyalty email at the kiosk, your points are added automatically. If you did neither, fill out the Contact Us form for help.
Taco Bell receipts after the points
Scanning a Taco Bell receipt earns the points, and you still need the slip itself for an expense claim. Photograph it with the receipt scanner in the Smartbills app once the barcode has done its job. App and web orders are simpler: Taco Bell always emails the receipt, and email receipt capture files it. Late-night meals on the road then go onto the trip's expense report.
