At Cora, the receipt is the bill you pay at the restaurant. Keep it. If your loyalty card was not scanned, return to the restaurant with your card and that receipt within 30 days of the purchase to claim the points. Your online member account then shows your points balance, rewards and transaction history.
Claiming points on a past breakfast
Cora handles missed points in person, not through a web form:
- Keep the receipt from the visit.
- Within 30 days of the purchase date, go back to a Cora restaurant.
- Show your loyalty card and the receipt to claim the points.
After 30 days the receipt still proves the expense, but it no longer earns.
Transaction history in your account
Log in to your online member account to see your balance, your rewards and your transaction history. It is the quickest way to confirm a visit was recorded. It is a loyalty record, though, not an itemized receipt.
How points are earned
Cora gives 10 base points for every dollar spent, in the restaurant and on delivery. Points can pay for all or part of a purchase in a restaurant or online at chezcora.com, once your online profile is complete.
Online orders
Cora takes online orders at order.chezcora.com, on the web or on mobile. Cora's public pages do not say what the online order receipt contains or where it is stored. Save whatever confirmation you receive at checkout, and keep the email if one arrives.
A breakfast meeting on the company card
Ask for the itemized bill rather than settling for the card terminal slip. The itemized bill is also where the GST, HST or QST is shown, which your bookkeeper needs to claim input tax credits for a registered business.
Cora receipts saved for the claim and the books
A Cora receipt has two jobs: claiming points within 30 days and backing the expense. Photograph it with the receipt scanner before you leave the table and the date, taxes and total are captured. Online order emails can follow through email receipt capture, and the breakfast meeting lands on your expense report.
