The receipt Wendy's hands you is the one to keep, and it also carries the barcode and code you can use to claim Rewards points later. In the app, tap Earn, then Claim Receipt Rewards, and scan the barcode or type the code. On a computer, go to the Offer section, choose Claim Receipt Rewards and enter the code.
Claim Receipt Rewards step by step
- Open the Wendy's app or wendys.com in a mobile browser and tap Earn at the bottom.
- Select Claim Receipt Rewards, just above Need Help?
- Scan the barcode on the receipt, or enter the code printed on it.
This is the fix when you paid at the counter or drive-thru and forgot to show the QR code from the Earn tab.
When points appear and when they expire
Wendy's says points should show within two hours of your purchase, and only points that appear in your balance can be spent in the Rewards Store. Points expire 365 days after they are earned, with the oldest used first. A reward you claim expires 30 days later unless it says otherwise.
Orders that earn nothing
Delivery orders no longer earn points or qualify for app offers, even when placed in the Wendy's app or on the website. Orders through DoorDash, Grubhub, Uber Eats or Postmates do not earn points either. Pickup orders in the app still earn, minus the discounted portion. For a delivery order, the receipt to keep is the one from the service you ordered through.
A lost receipt
Wendy's help pages don't describe a way to reprint a counter receipt. For anything the app cannot fix, Customer Care answers by chat, email or phone from Monday to Saturday, 8:00 am to midnight Eastern.
Using it for a business meal
A drive-thru stop between client visits is a small expense that is easy to lose. Keep the full receipt with the items listed, not only the card slip, because the receipt is what shows the purchase was food and not something else.
Wendy's receipts saved before they get tossed
Drive-thru receipts tend to end up in the bag with the napkins. Take a photo with the receipt scanner as you pull away and the date, total and items are captured, even after the paper is gone. Pickup orders placed in the Wendy's app can come through email receipt capture when they land in your inbox, and the meal goes onto your expense report.
