SkipTheDishes

To find a SkipTheDishes receipt, start with the order confirmation email, which has the order details, then open Order History in your Skip account to see any past order. Both work on the app and the website.

The confirmation email

After you check out, Skip sends an order confirmation email with the order details and a Track Your Order link. Search your inbox for it first; it is the easiest copy to forward to whoever handles your expenses.

Order History

  1. Sign in to your Skip account.
  2. Open Order History.
  3. Select an order to see its details, or Track Order to check its status.

Order History is also where you leave feedback on the restaurant and courier once an order is done.

What the total includes

Besides the food, an order can carry a service fee, calculated as a percentage of the subtotal; the exact amount is listed on the payment page at checkout. Voucher codes apply to the subtotal and cannot be used on alcohol or cash orders. You can pay online or in cash on pickup or delivery.

Payment methods and credits

Skip accepts major credit cards, debit cards co-branded with a credit card such as Interac Visa Debit, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Skip gift cards. A redeemed gift card becomes Skip credits in your account, and WestJet Rewards points can be converted into credits as well.

When an order is refunded

If a restaurant cannot accept your order and you paid online by card, Skip refunds the entire purchase and contacts you by phone or email. Other problems with an order go to Skip's live chat.

Ordering on a Skip Pay allowance

Through Skip For Business, an employer can give staff a Skip Pay balance for food and drinks. Sign in with the email linked to the allowance and it is selected at checkout by default; anything above the balance goes on another payment method you choose. Your employer may limit when and where the balance works, and questions about it go to your company's Skip For Business administrator.

Shop + Pay store orders

On Shop + Pay orders, the courier picks your items in the store, pays at checkout and scans the store receipt into the Courier App. When one courier shops two orders at once, each order gets its own checkout, payment and receipt.

GST/HST and expense claims

Skip's FAQ does not explain how GST/HST appears on an order. For a reimbursement, keep the confirmation email or the Order History details rather than only the card statement line, and claim only the part you paid yourself when a Skip Pay allowance covered the rest.

SkipTheDishes orders filed for the claim

The confirmation email holds the order details, and email receipt capture picks each one up from your inbox the moment you order, ready for an expense report. If you order on an account you use for work, connect it and our AI agent signs in to Order History and saves the details of each completed order through bill fetching.
