When you pay a Chili's check on pay.chilis.com, the thank-you screen offers Need a receipt? with an email field, and Chili's emails the receipt to you. If you pay with your server or at the table, ask for the itemized receipt before you leave. For a lost one, Chili's contact form has a field for the receipt or check number.
Paying the check on pay.chilis.com
The Chili's pay page shows your check number, the items, any discount, the subtotal, tax and tip. You can add a tip, round up for St. Jude, log in to apply a reward, and pay by credit card or gift card. After payment, enter your email under Need a receipt? and wait for the confirmation that the email was sent.
This is the best route for a business dinner. The emailed copy lists every item and the tip, and it reaches your inbox before you reach the car.
The tabletop device and the app
At participating Chili's, the tabletop device lets you join My Chili's and select a reward. Rewards already sit in your My Chili's account, and you pick them in the app, on the tabletop device or at checkout on chilis.com. Members get free chips and salsa on visits with at least $5 spent on food or drink, before tax, tip or donations.
A lost Chili's receipt
Chili's public pages do not describe a receipt lookup. The customer service contact form handles orders, rewards and gift card questions, and it has an optional field for a receipt or check number. Fill it in if you have it, since the check number is how a restaurant finds a ticket.
Tip and total on the copy you submit
A card slip from a sit-down meal often shows the total before the tip was added. Submit the receipt that shows the tip, which the emailed copy from the pay page does.
Chili's receipts straight from the pay page
The Need a receipt? email is the easiest Chili's receipt to keep. Email receipt capture files it with the check number, tip and total as soon as it arrives. A paper receipt from your server goes in through the receipt scanner, and the client dinner joins your expense report.
