Zara

Zara has a form called Recover my store receipt for anyone who lost the paper slip from a store purchase. You fill it in on zara.com with the reference number of one of the items, the credit, debit or gift card number you paid with, and the date of purchase. Gift receipts are requested at the register for store purchases, and for online orders at checkout or any time after the order ships.

Recover my store receipt: Zara's lookup form

Have three things ready before you open the form:

  1. The reference number printed on the label of at least one item you bought.
  2. The card number used to pay, whether credit, debit or a Zara gift card.
  3. The purchase date.

Cash purchases leave no card number to match, which makes the paper receipt or the Zara QR (below) the only practical record.

Getting a Zara gift receipt

A Zara gift receipt is a purchase receipt without prices, and Zara also removes the prices from the labels when it prepares a gifted online order.

  • In store: ask the staff for one at checkout. You can choose which items appear on it.
  • Online: add it during checkout, or later once the order has shipped, from the order details in your Zara account. Guests use the links in the order emails.
  • An online gift receipt always covers every item in the order.
  • The buyer can download a gift receipt they requested from the order details if it was missing from the parcel.

A short personalized note can ride along with online orders, but not with store purchases.

What a gift receipt return pays out

Bring a gift receipt to any Zara store and the refund lands on a Zara gift card. For an online order, you can also request the return on the website and receive the gift card by email. Zara's gift cards do not expire. Getting money back on the original payment method takes the original receipt, which the gift giver holds.

Linking store receipts to your Zara account

Show your Zara QR when you pay and the receipt is attached to your account under My purchases, In-store. If you already have a paper receipt, log in to the app, open In-store purchases and tap Add receipt to scan it. Either way, the receipt survives a lost wallet.

Return windows and what to show

You have 30 days from the purchase date for store buys and 30 days from the shipment date for online orders, with labels attached, in the same market where you bought. Store returns are free and accept your Zara QR or the receipt. Drop-off point returns cost $4.95, are deducted from the refund, apply to online orders only, and need no receipt in the box. Refunds for store purchases go back to the payment method used.

Zara receipts beyond the 30-day window

The recovery form depends on a card number and an item reference you may not have months later, when a stylist, a costume department or a boutique owner needs the receipt for the books. Email receipt capture files every Zara order and shipping email as it arrives. Bill fetching has our AI agent sign in to your Zara account and save each online order. A paper receipt from the store goes into the Smartbills app with one photo.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Zara's Recover my store receipt form on zara.com finds a lost store receipt when you enter an item reference number, the card number you paid with and the purchase date.

Yes, once the order has shipped. Open the order details in your Zara account, or the link in an order email if you checked out as a guest, and request it there. It covers all items in the order.

In a store, Zara asks for either the receipt or your Zara QR. Online orders sent back through a drop-off point need no receipt in the package, because the return request is already linked to the order.
