Without a receipt, JCPenney may give you a Merchandise Return Voucher for the item's lowest selling price within the last 45 days, and a valid photo ID is required. Return windows, including the holiday extension
With a receipt, store and jcp.com purchases can be returned or exchanged within 60 days of the original purchase date, refunded to the original payment or a JCPenney gift card. Most purchases made on or after October 1 can come back through January 31, 2027 with an original or gift receipt. In Connecticut and Massachusetts, the sales tax is refunded only on returns made within 60 days.
