Winners accepts a return without a register receipt if you show valid government-issued photo identification, and any refund comes as a Winners gift card. Returns may be limited or declined at Winners' discretion. The simplest way to never be in that spot is TJX Canada STYLE+: members who scan their card get eReceipts by email, and those stay on the My Purchase page of their STYLE+ account for up to 120 days.
STYLE+ eReceipt lookup
STYLE+ is a free loyalty program for Winners, HomeSense and Marshalls stores in Canada. Register online for a digital card, or ask a sales associate for a physical one and register it afterwards. You can also add the card to your phone's wallet.
- Scan your STYLE+ card at the register.
- Your eReceipt arrives in your inbox right after the purchase.
- To find it later, sign in to your STYLE+ account and open the My Purchase page, where eReceipts stay for up to 120 days.
If the associate does not scan your card, the digital receipt will not appear in your account. Keep the paper one that day.
The 10-day and 30-day refund windows
- Within 10 days, with the original register receipt and tickets attached: refund in the tender you paid with, or a gift card if you prefer.
- After 10 days, with the receipt and tickets: refund on a gift card for the amount paid. Winners gift cards do not expire.
- STYLE+ members who used their card on the purchase get 30 days, not 10, for a refund in the original tender.
Items returned with a gift receipt can be exchanged or traded for store credit only.
Returning to Winners without a receipt
No register receipt means government-issued photo ID at the counter and a gift card for any refund. Winners says it does not keep your ID number: it is converted electronically to a substitute number, stored with your ID type, name and address, and used only to process and track returns and run its loss prevention program. The STYLE+ FAQ adds that every return needs the customer's signature.
Some items never come back, with or without a receipt: underwear, earrings, diamond jewellery, gift cards and face coverings are final sale. Merchandise in unsellable condition is refused.
Winners receipts kept past 120 days
The My Purchase page lets go of an eReceipt after 120 days, and the emailed copy is easy to lose among promotions. Email receipt capture files each Winners eReceipt as it arrives. Unscanned visits leave you a paper receipt; snap it in the Smartbills app. Buying decor or supplies for a shop or office at Winners? Those receipts go straight into expense reports.
