Receipts and invoices

To get a Simons receipt for an online order, look for the "Your order is ready to ship" email: it is your e-receipt, and the receipt is also in your account under My Online Orders. For a store purchase, keep the paper receipt, unless you shop with a Les Simons member card.

Online orders

The "Your order is ready to ship" email replaces the paper receipt. You'll also find the receipt in your account under My Online Orders.

Returns

Online, open the order, choose See Details then Return Items. Without an account, the Returns tab at the bottom of the site asks for the order number and billing postal code. Members of the Les Simons loyalty program can return merchandise without a receipt in store by showing their member card.

Regular-priced items can be returned within 30 days of receipt and sale items within 10 days, and The Simons members get longer for regular-priced items depending on their tier. Members also get free standard online returns. Others pay a $9.99 fee plus tax, which is subtracted from the refund. Online return requests under $10 aren't accepted, though those items can go back in store unless they're online-only.

The return receipt

Once Simons receives the returned items, it sends a confirmation email with a return receipt, and the refund is then issued automatically. Keep that email with the original order email: together they show what you paid and what you got back.

Returning an online order in store

Online purchases can be returned at any Simons store, except online-only items, which have to go back online. Bring the item, the original receipt (the email confirmation or the packing slip) and the card you paid with, since the refund goes back to the same payment method.

In-store purchases

For a store purchase without a member card, keep the receipt: it's the proof for a return or an expense claim. Items bought in store can only be refunded in store, not online.

Clothing and decor bought for the business

Shipping fees and surcharges are non-refundable, and Simons adds them to the bill before taxes. For a work purchase, the order email or the store receipt is what backs the claim. From $100, the CRA expects the seller's GST/HST registration number on it to support an input tax credit, and in Québec the QST number too.

Customer service

Simons customer service is reachable at 1-877-666-1840, by email at sac.web@simons.ca, or by chat.

Simons receipts, filed

The shipping email and the return receipt both come by email, and email receipt capture reads each tax line from them. A paper receipt from a Simons store can be photographed in the Smartbills app and added to your expense report the same day.
