For a Patrick Morin online order, your record is the order number that starts with WEBC: sign in and open My Orders, or keep the confirmation email. For a purchase at the counter, the invoice handed to you at the register is the document that counts. Patrick Morin's official pages describe no way to look up or reprint a store invoice, and a return without one is refunded on a gift card.
Online orders and the WEBC number
Every patrickmorin.com order gets a number beginning with WEBC. It appears in the confirmation email and in the pickup notice, and the store asks for it at pickup along with photo ID and the credit card used to pay. With an account, the order also stays in your profile:
- Log in to your account on patrickmorin.com.
- Click My Orders in the menu.
- Select the order and click view order.
No confirmation email? Patrick Morin says some email providers route its messages to the junk folder. Look there first, then write to webserviceclient@patrickmorin.com.
PM PRO accounts for contractors
Contractors and owner-builders open an entrepreneur account in person, with an advisor at the PRO counter of one of the 22 Quebec branches. Orders go in by phone, by email or at the counter, and materials can be delivered to the job site. One limit matters for bookkeeping: the FAQ says you can't currently log in online with your entrepreneur account number. Ask your PRO counter how your invoices and statements reach you.
The account itself is paid through your bank. Search for the payee Centre de rénovation Patrick Morin, select HOME ACCOUNT, and enter your 6 or 7-digit client number, adding a 0 in front of a 6-digit one.
Returns: 90 days, invoice required
Unused items in their original packaging can go back to any branch within 90 days of purchase, for an exchange or a refund to the original payment method. The invoice is required for both. Without it, or without the original packaging, the refund comes as a gift card at the lowest price of the last 90 days. Special orders, cut materials, custom paint mixes, clearance items and gift cards are final sales.
Pallet charges billed on a delivery are refundable as well, within 90 days, when you show the invoice and the pallets are in good condition. Parcel orders are returned online with the WEBC number; a purchase made in store can't be mailed back.
The invoice also earns a price adjustment
If something you paid regular price for goes on sale less than 10 days later, Patrick Morin refunds the difference in store when you show the invoice and proof of the reduced price from one of its flyers. Clearance and end-of-season products are excluded, and so are treated wood, spruce lumber, OSB and plywood.
GST and QST on job materials
The CRA requires the supplier's GST/HST registration number on any document supporting an input tax credit for a purchase of $100 or more. From $500, your name, a brief description and the payment terms must appear too. Check that the invoice also carries the store's QST number: the CRA sends you to Revenu Québec to confirm one.
Patrick Morin invoices kept for every job
Most Patrick Morin purchases end as a slip of paper in a truck door pocket. Photograph each invoice in the Smartbills app while you're still in the parking lot, and the items, GST and QST are read for you. WEBC confirmations and pickup notices are picked up from your inbox by email receipt capture, and a job's materials gather into one expense report for the client or your accountant.
