How to get a Marriott hotel folio or receipt

The hotel bill is called a folio. It lists each night, the taxes and anything charged to the room. The easiest time to get it is the morning you leave.
Checking out in the Bonvoy app
The Marriott Bonvoy app lets you check out remotely and have the folio emailed to you. Mobile check-out opens at 4:00 a.m. hotel time on your departure day. Confirm the email address the folio should go to before you finish. If the app will not complete check-out, go to the front desk.
Emailed folios do not always arrive. If it has not reached you by the time you leave, ask the front desk for a printed copy on your way out. It takes a minute and saves a request later.
Past folios on the website
- Sign in and open My Trips.
- Select the Activity tab for a list of your completed stays.
- Open the stay to see its details and download the folio, if one is available.
In the app, completed stays are under Trips, on the Past tab, or under Account and View Account Activity with the filter set to Hotel Stays.
When no folio is available
Not every stay has a downloadable folio. When it is missing, use Marriott's contact page to request a copy of a past hotel bill. Have the confirmation number and the stay dates ready.
A stay that is not in your account
A stay only shows in your activity when your Marriott Bonvoy number was attached to the reservation. If it was not, report it as a missing stay, then check for the folio again.
Charges you do not recognize
For an error found after you left, call the hotel and ask for the accounting department, or use the contact form. Marriott says to allow up to five business days for a reply.
What an expense report needs from a hotel
The folio, not the booking confirmation. Many policies want room, taxes and meals as separate lines, and the folio is the only document that splits them.
Marriott folios without the follow-up
When the folio arrives by email after app check-out, email receipt capture picks it up from your inbox and reads the room, tax and incidentals into separate lines. For the stays where the email never came, connect your Marriott Bonvoy account and our AI agent signs in, opens the Activity tab and downloads each folio that becomes available, through bill fetching. A printed copy grabbed at the desk can go into the Smartbills app with a photo.
