Hilton Honors members can get the receipt (the folio) for a past stay from their account, for stays in the last 12 months. Members can also check out digitally in the app and see receipts there without visiting the front desk.
Receipt lookup on hilton.com
- Sign in.
- Go to Your Stays and choose Previous stays.
- Select View Receipt on the stay.
In the Hilton Honors app
- Open Account.
- Tap Stay history.
- Tap View receipt.
What the receipt covers
At check-out, incidentals such as room service and minibar charges are settled along with the room. The receipt shows them alongside the nightly rate and taxes.
When the online receipt is out of date
An online receipt does not show adjustments the hotel makes to a charge after you check out. If the hotel corrected a charge, ask the hotel for an updated folio rather than using the online version.
When to contact the hotel
Contact the hotel directly if the receipt is not in your account, the stay was more than 12 months ago, or you are not a Hilton Honors member. The hotel holds the folio and can send a copy.
Missing points
If you think a stay was under-credited, Hilton asks for a legible copy of the folio with the request, sent within six months of the stay. One more reason to save the folio when you get it.
The booking confirmation is not enough
A reservation email shows the rate you booked, not what you paid. Room upgrades, parking, meals and taxes only appear on the folio, which is why expense policies ask for it.
Hilton folios on file before the 12 months run out
The 12-month window is the main risk with Hilton: a stay from last year's tax season can already be gone.
