How to get an Airbnb receipt

Airbnb keeps a receipt for every completed reservation in your account. You can download it, print it or email it, which is handy when the receipt needs to go to whoever is reimbursing you.
From Trips
- Open the menu and select Trips.
- Under Past trips, select the reservation.
- Select Your stay.
- Under Payment info, select Get receipt.
From your payment settings
- Open the menu, then Account settings and Payments.
- Under Your payments, select Manage payments.
- Under Completed, open the receipt.
From the confirmation email
The email receipt Airbnb sent you has a link to the full receipt, under the Airbnb service fee.
Adding business details: do it before you book
Only a verified business traveller (someone who has added a work email to their Airbnb account) can mark a trip as business, from Trips and Payment info. Timing matters: once a reservation is confirmed, what the receipt shows does not change. If you need different details on it, Airbnb's answer is to cancel and rebook to have the receipt reissued, which is rarely worth it. Set up your work email first.
VAT invoices
Where VAT applies to Airbnb's service fee, the VAT invoice is linked from the email receipt, under the service fee, and from Get receipt. Airbnb cannot modify a VAT invoice after it is issued. VAT-registered businesses can add a VAT ID under Taxes in their account. VAT invoices are not issued in every country.
Airbnb for Work
If your company uses Airbnb for Work, travel admins can print or download receipts for employees' completed business trips from the company dashboard.
Nightly price, fees and taxes
The receipt shows the nightly price, cleaning and service fees and the taxes. That breakdown is what an expense policy asks for, and it is what makes Airbnb easier to expense than a card charge from an unfamiliar host.
Airbnb receipts collected for you
Airbnb emails a receipt for every reservation, with the VAT invoice linked inside it, and email receipt capture picks those up from your inbox the day you book. If you would rather pull from the source, connect your Airbnb account and our AI agent signs in after each stay and saves the receipt from Trips through bill fetching. Either way the stay, fees and taxes land in the expense report as separate lines.
