How to get an Avis rental receipt

To get an Avis receipt, open Avis's Get e-Receipt page and enter the country, your last name and the rental agreement or confirmation number. Avis Preferred members can also open it from My Avis, under Past Rentals. Allow up to 7 days after returning the car for the receipt to appear.
The Get e-Receipt page
- Open Avis's Get e-Receipt page.
- Enter the country, your last name and either the rental agreement number or the confirmation number.
Which number is which
The rental agreement number is nine digits; ignore any letters or symbols around it. A reservation confirmation number is eight digits followed by two letters and one more digit. If one does not work, try the other.
From your Avis profile
Avis Preferred members can log in to My Avis and select Get Receipt (or View Receipt) under Past Rentals.
Timing and older rentals
Allow up to 7 days after returning the car for the receipt to be available. If you still cannot retrieve it, contact Avis customer service. Copies are kept online for a limited time; for an older rental, ask customer service for a copy.
e-Toll charges come later
If you drove through electronic tolls with Avis e-Toll, the tolls and Avis's daily convenience fee are billed separately, and can take 4 to 8 weeks after the rental to reach your card. On your statement they appear as Avis Rent A Car Tolls. Keep that charge with the rental receipt when you file the trip.
What to keep
The final e-Receipt shows fuel, extras and taxes, which the reservation confirmation does not. Expense policies want the e-Receipt, plus the toll charge if there was one.
Avis rentals on autopilot
The Avis receipt you need lives behind the Past Rentals page, and it appears days after you drop the car off. Connect your Avis Preferred account and our AI agent signs in, waits for the e-Receipt to post and saves it, through bill fetching. If Avis emails you the receipt, email receipt capture picks that copy up from your inbox instead. When the e-Toll charge lands weeks later, it can be added to the same trip in the expense report.
