How to get a National Car Rental receipt

To get a National Car Rental receipt, sign in to your Emerald Club account, select the rental under Past Trips and print the receipt. Turning on emailed receipts in your profile sends one after every rental. Not an Emerald Club member? National cannot print receipts online for you; call customer service.
Emerald Club members
- Sign in to your Emerald Club account.
- Under Past Trips, select the rental.
- Print the receipt.
Some receipts do not appear online, depending on how the rental was booked, where it was picked up or how long ago it was. In that case, call Emerald Club's specialists.
Emailed receipts
Turn on emailed receipts under Communication Preferences in your Emerald Club profile. Receipts then go to the email address on the profile after each rental. Free to join, and the single most useful setting for anyone who rents for work.
Not a member
National cannot print receipts online for non-members. Call National customer service for a copy, with the rental agreement number ready.
Toll receipts
Tolls are billed separately from the rental. On TollPassGo.com, choose National and search with your last name plus either the rental agreement number or the first six and last four digits of the card you paid with. You can also sign up there to get toll receipts automatically. In states where National uses its TollPass service, a separate toll receipt lookup phone line is available.
Rentals booked by your company
If your employer books through a corporate travel tool with a National account, receipts may go to the travel manager rather than you. Adding your Emerald Club number to those bookings brings the receipts back into your own Past Trips.
Rental plus tolls
Keep the toll receipt with the rental receipt. An expense report that shows one without the other usually gets queried.
National receipts that flow straight through
With emailed receipts switched on, National sends the receipt to you after every rental, and email receipt capture picks it up from your inbox with fuel, fees and taxes read off. The same goes for toll receipts once you sign up for them on TollPassGo. For the rentals that only show under Past Trips, connect your Emerald Club account and our AI agent signs in and saves each receipt through bill fetching, ready for the expense report.
