How to find a RockAuto order and receipt

Receipts and invoices

RockAuto sells parts only online. There's no counter receipt to lose. Every order leaves a trail by email and in your account, and you can find it again in three ways.

The confirmation email

When an order goes through, RockAuto gives you a confirmation number and sends a confirmation email. That email is your record of the order. RockAuto sends another email with tracking once the last part on the order ships. If you never received a confirmation number and the parts are still in your cart, the order wasn't placed.

Order Look-Up without an account

On RockAuto's Order Status & Returns page, enter the email address or phone number you used under Order Look-Up. RockAuto sends you a list of your 10 most recent order numbers.

Your full order history

  1. Log in to your RockAuto account. Your most recent orders appear automatically.
  2. To find a specific order, select the car or part category, or enter a part number, then click Search Orders.
  3. Click the order number to open the order.

Orders placed with the email address on your account, or while you were logged in, are added to it automatically. An order placed with a different email while logged out can be associated with your account afterward.

Parts as business expenses

For a work vehicle, keep the order confirmation or the order page as the receipt, with the parts, the date, the shipping and any tax or duty charged. A card statement shows only the total.

RockAuto orders that file themselves

RockAuto's confirmations come by email, where email receipt capture picks them up and reads each part and line. For the counter receipts from a local parts store, photograph them in the Smartbills app.
