How to download Intercom invoices
Founder & CEO, Smartbills

To download an Intercom invoice, go to Settings, then Subscription and Billing, open the Invoices tab and select Download Invoice. You need full billing permission to see it. Add finance to the billing contacts in Payment details and they are emailed when each invoice is ready.
The Invoices tab
- Go to Settings, then Subscription, then Billing.
- Open the Invoices tab.
- Select Download Invoice for the PDF.
Invoice emails and billing contacts
Invoice notifications go to the billing contacts in Payment details. To add someone, go to Settings, Subscription, Billing, Payment details and add their email to the billing contacts list. The email tells you an invoice is ready; you sign in to view and download it.
Tax ID
In Payment details, select Add tax ID number. Enter your company address first; Intercom uses it, the physical location of your headquarters, to work out the tax.
Changing the bill-to address
Updating the company address alone does not change the bill-to address on future invoices. Re-enter your payment method in Payment details for the new address to take effect. Invoices already issued cannot be edited.
Who to email about a charge
Intercom's accounts receivable team handles billing questions by email.
Seats and usage
Intercom pricing combines seats with usage, such as AI resolutions, which means invoices can move month to month. The invoice shows what drove the change.
Intercom invoices collected behind the login
Since Intercom's emails point to the invoice rather than attaching it, adding a finance address as a billing contact only gets you the notice: email receipt capture logs it so nothing is missed. Connect a login with billing permission and our AI agent signs in, opens the Invoices tab and downloads each PDF through bill fetching. Subscription tracking shows the seat and usage trend.
