Asana

Asana's billing owner and, on auto-pay plans, admins and super admins can view and download invoices. Manually invoiced plans may still be managed only by the billing owner.

From the admin console

  1. Open the admin console and select the Billing tab.
  2. Go to Invoices to see the latest invoice and your history.
  3. Under Invoice history, choose All invoices, then the download symbol to download a whole year or a single month.

A full-year download in one go is handy at year-end.

Invoice emails

The billing owner gets a copy of each invoice by email. The View your invoice online link at the bottom of that email opens past invoices too. Only the billing owner receives these emails.

Sales tax

Sales tax on your subscription is shown as a separate line on the invoice.

US tax-exempt organizations

Nonprofits and educational institutions in the US can use Request tax exempt status in the Payment info section of the Billing tab.

Changing the billing owner

If invoices go to someone who has left, update the billing owner so the emails reach the right person. Until then, only that former owner gets them.

Asana invoices, routed from the billing owner

Asana sends invoices only to the billing owner. Make that a role whose mailbox email receipt capture reads and every invoice is filed with its sales tax line. Or connect an admin login and our AI agent signs in to the Billing tab and downloads new invoices through bill fetching, a month at a time instead of a year in December. Subscription tracking follows seat changes over the year.
