NB Power

Your NB Power online account lets you view and print current and past bills from the last 36 months. Log in and use View Bill or Billing & Payment History under Account Summary. Creating the account switches you to paperless billing automatically.

Creating your online account

All you need is information from your most recent NB Power bill. If you are not yet a customer, set up service first, online or by calling Customer Care at 1 800 663-6272, and then register. Beyond bills, the profile lets you start an Equalized Payment Plan, set up a Pre-Authorized Payment Plan, make a one-time payment or report a payment you made elsewhere.

  • View Bill opens the bill.
  • Billing & Payment History covers past billing and payments.
  • Account Statement shows the statement and balance, which you can also print.
  • Consumption History charts your electricity use.
  • Manage Contact Information and Alerts holds your email address.

Paperless by default

New online accounts move to paperless billing automatically. If you already had an account, log in and add your email under Manage Contact Information and Alerts. NB Power then sends a monthly email when the bill is ready. Print only the months you need.

More than one location

A single profile can set up and manage several locations served by NB Power. That suits a landlord or a business with more than one site, since each location's bills sit behind one login.

A note on estimated bills

NB Power's account page flags a system upgrade and warns that some bills may be estimated. Check whether a bill was estimated before you record it as final.

Paying an NB Power bill and the Pre-Authorized Payment Plan

Your NB Power online account takes one-time payments from your bank account. EZ-PAY takes a one-time credit card payment as a guest, with a convenience fee. Add NB Power as a payee at your bank to pay online, by phone or in person, or pay by mail or through authorized agents.

The free Pre-Authorized Payment Plan withdraws the amount due on the due date, or on a day you choose each month:

  1. Log in to your online account, or register one first.
  2. Open the Pre-authorized Payment Plan page and set up the withdrawal.
  3. Or mail the authorization form with a void cheque.

The bank account name has to match the name on the NB Power account. A maximum withdrawal set below your highest bills of the year leaves a second payment for you to make. NB Power keeps sending the monthly bill, and that bill is what proves the HST paid.

NB Power bills kept beyond 36 months

Thirty-six months is generous, yet a rental property or a multi-site business still needs every location's bills in one place. Connect your NB Power online account and our AI agent logs in, saves each new bill for every location and keeps it, through bill fetching. The monthly email from NB Power is filed by email receipt capture, and each year's bills are sorted for tax time.
