To get Exxon or Mobil receipts by email, turn on e-receipts in the Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app: open Account, then Settings, then Notifications, and switch the email receipt toggle on. Purchases paid through the app, at the pump or inside the store, then come with an e-receipt. The app's Rewards section keeps a history of loyalty transactions made through the app.
Turning on e-receipts
- Open the Exxon Mobil Rewards+ app and tap Account.
- Go to Settings, then Notifications.
- Shift the email receipt toggle to the on (blue) position.
Exxon's FAQ reminds you to sign up for e-receipts once you finish fueling. Doing it before your next stop means that fill-up is covered too.
Paying at the pump with the app
- Tap Pay at Pump on the home screen.
- Enter the pump number, choose a payment method and tap Activate Pump.
- Choose your grade at the pump and lift the nozzle.
You can decide how many points to redeem for dollars off before you authorize the pump. With a digital wallet, you do not have to tap your phone on the pump. Location services help the app find the right pump.
Paying in the store
Tap Pay in Store, choose a payment method and tap Generate QR code, then show the code to the cashier. When the sale is done, the e-receipt appears in the app. A QR code can expire if it is not used right away; generate a new one if that happens. An indoor purchase cannot be split between the app and another payment method.
Receipt lookup in the Rewards section
Exxon's app FAQ does not describe a separate receipt lookup page. The closest tool is the Rewards section on the lower menu: its tabs show your points balance, status, badges and activity, including a history of loyalty transactions made through the app. Points can take up to 48 hours to appear.
Not every Exxon or Mobil station takes part in the program, and purchases at those stations earn no points. For questions about a missing transaction, call 1-888-REWARD+ (1-888-739-2730).
Exxon e-receipts, filed on arrival
Once the toggle is on, every Exxon or Mobil fill-up paid in the app sends an e-receipt to your inbox, and email receipt capture files it as soon as it lands. Got a paper receipt at a station where you paid by card instead? Photograph it with the receipt scanner. Both kinds end up on the same expense report.
