Atmosphere has consolidated its operations under its parent company, Sport Chek, and atmosphere.ca now shows a notice instead of a store. Hold on to your Atmosphere receipt, printed or emailed. Returns and exchanges are now handled under Sport Chek's policy, which asks for the original receipt. Online orders can still be checked on the Order Status page without signing in.
What the move to Sport Chek means
The notice on atmosphere.ca sends outdoor shoppers to sportchek.ca and select Sport Chek stores. Customer service stays reachable at 1-844-651-2309 for orders, warranties and gift cards. Online promo codes will be honoured; call or use the feedback form to be placed in the queue.
Checking an order without an account
Order Status shows the progress of an online purchase with no sign-in needed. If something is wrong with the order, the same phone number applies. Keep the order email you received: Sport Chek accepts an emailed receipt as the original receipt.
Returning an item with the receipt
Sport Chek's return policy counts from the purchase date:
- Up to 30 days: refund to the original payment method.
- Days 31 to 60: merchandise credit card.
- After 60 days: no refund or exchange.
Merchandise must be unused, in its packaging with tags, paperwork and accessories. Online orders returned in store need photo ID matching the billing address. Clearance items priced to end in $0.88 are final sale, as are underwear, climbing equipment and lift tickets or passes. Under $5 returned in store comes back as cash.
No receipt, or only a gift receipt
Without a receipt, store staff can try to retrieve the transaction for an in-store or online purchase. If they find it and the return fits the policy, a refund is possible. If not, the return is refused. A gift receipt gets a merchandise credit card within 60 days, and you will be asked for your name, phone number and postal code.
Gift cards and manufacturer defects
Atmosphere gift cards and promo cards work in Sport Chek stores and on sportchek.ca. If gear develops a manufacturer's defect under normal use, take it to a store, where a refund or exchange may be processed within the return policy.
Outdoor gear receipts, ready for a return
A jacket or tent from Atmosphere has to come back within 30 days for a true refund.
