Amazon Business

Amazon Business emails every invoice to the invoice delivery address your administrator chose, and keeps a copy on the Your invoices page under Business Settings. Pay by Invoice now appears in Amazon's help as Business Credit Account, with 30-day terms. You pay from Your invoices by ACH debit or autopay, or send a wire, ACH transfer or check with remittance advice.

Pay by Invoice is now Business Credit Account

The program is invite-only. Amazon runs an eligibility check when the business account is created and reassesses it over time. After approval, the account administrator receives an activation email, and the option shows up in the Billing & Shipping section of the Your Account menu. Net 30 is the standard term. Prime Business customers on the Small or Medium plan may qualify for Net 45, and Enterprise for Net 60, subject to credit approval. If you close the credit account, purchases go back to Invoice by Amazon.

When the invoice is issued and who gets it

Amazon dates and sends each invoice from the delivery date. Without a delivery confirmation, the invoice goes out 7 calendar days after the estimated delivery date. A return produces a credit memo, sent to the same address. Administrators can also copy the buyer on every PDF:

  1. Open Business Settings from the Your Account menu.
  2. Choose Business Credit Account under Billing & shipping.
  3. Select Manage beside Your invoice templates.
  4. In the Actions menu for the group, pick Edit preference, then Edit under Invoice recipient.
  5. Tick Send a PDF copy to the person who placed the order and save.

Invoice lookup and bulk download

Your invoices lists each invoice and credit memo with its status, next to the purchasing limit, the total due and any unapplied funds. Tick the documents you want in the transaction table and select Download. Documents from the last five years are available, packed into zip files of 2,000 each. For reconciliation, the Business Credit Account report in Business Analytics exports up to 2,000 invoices at a time as CSV or Excel. Only administrators and finance users see invoices, which is why AP clerks are usually given the finance role.

Paying invoices and turning on autopay

  1. From Business Settings, open Your invoices.
  2. Select Make payment in the Total due section.
  3. Choose the invoices, select Review, then Submit payment.

ACH debit needs no remittance advice. For autopay, select autopay on in the Total due section, pick a schedule and select Authorize. It requires a business bank account and covers only invoices issued after you enrol. Credit cards and gift cards cannot settle these invoices. Wires, ACH CCD or CTX transfers and checks take up to 7 business days to show; list the invoice numbers, or email remittance advice to the address printed on the invoice. Autopay still produces one invoice per shipment, and that invoice is what you file.

Credit memos and unapplied funds

Credit memos and overpayments sit as unapplied funds. Select Apply funds to match up to 100 invoices, credit memos and payments, bring the summary to zero, then select Apply payment. The account summary can take 30 minutes to update.

Amazon Business invoices filed as they ship

One cart can split into several shipments, and each shipment brings its own invoice. Point the invoice delivery address at email receipt capture and every PDF and credit memo is read and filed on arrival. Our AI agent can also sign in and pull the archive from Your invoices through bill fetching. Anyone who orders on a personal card instead can attach the order's invoice to an expense report.
