How to get an eBay invoice

eBay

eBay issues sellers a monthly invoice for selling fees. Open the Payments tab in Seller Hub (or Payments in My eBay), go to Reports and choose the Invoices tab, then pick a month and select Summary Download for the PDF or Detail Download for a CSV. Buyers get no separate invoice from eBay; the order details in purchase history are their record.

The monthly fee invoice

The invoice lists selling fees and other costs eBay charged you, with the taxes on those fees. The amounts were already deducted from your Available, Processing and On hold funds, which is why the invoice shows nothing to pay. eBay emails you when each month is ready. If you sell on several eBay sites, fees and taxes are grouped by currency. Some regions label the tab Tax Invoices instead of Invoices.

Financial statement versus invoice

The monthly financial statement is a different document. From Payments, go to Reports, then Statements, and select Download beside the month. You choose a Summary or a Full statement. It covers orders, claims, refunds, payment disputes, payouts, fees and credits, but only for payments eBay processed. eBay states plainly that the statement is not an invoice. Statements stay downloadable for 10 years from the issue date.

Transaction report and credit notes

For a custom period, use Transaction report under Reports: set the Type, Start and End dates and select Create report. The CSV includes order number, buyer name, payout date and fees, and Customize column settings adds item, shipping or buyer columns. When eBay reverses a fee, it issues a credit note as a PDF summary plus a CSV, in the same place as the invoices. US sellers above the threshold also find Form 1099-K and its detailed report in Seller Hub.

Printing an order receipt for your buyer

Sellers can print an order receipt that shows everything the buyer paid at checkout, shipping included. In My eBay, open Orders, choose View order details, then Print packing slip. In Seller Hub, use the three dots beside an order and pick Print packing slip and more, or tick several orders and use the Shipping button.

Purchase history lookup for buyers

Purchase history keeps orders from the past 7 years. Only the last 60 days show at first; use See orders from at the top to pick a year, then View order details on the item. You cannot delete a purchase, though recent ones can be hidden from the More actions menu and restored with Undo Hide.

eBay fee invoices in your books

A reseller's fees land on one invoice a month while sales trickle in daily. Our AI agent can sign in to Seller Hub and save each month's PDF and CSV through bill fetching. Buyers sourcing parts or stock on eBay can forward order confirmations to email receipt capture, and both feed the year-end file for tax receipts.

Frequently asked questions

Sellers pick any month on the Invoices tab under Payments, then Reports. Buyers look up orders from the past 7 years in purchase history, choosing a year with See orders from.

No. eBay says the statement summarizes payments it processed and does not replace an invoice. The fee invoice sits on its own tab under Reports.

Financial statements remain available for 10 years from the date they were issued.

Not permanently. Orders from the last 60 days can be hidden through More actions, and Undo Hide brings them back.
