Returning to ALDI without a receipt gets you an ALDI Merchandise Credit gift card equal to the item's current retail price; a refund to your original payment requires the receipt. To get a copy of an in-store receipt, go back to the store where you shopped with the card you paid with and ask to speak with a manager. Online orders are different: ALDI emails a final receipt after the order is complete.
The Twice as Nice Guarantee
If you are not fully satisfied with the quality of a product bought in an ALDI store, ALDI replaces the product and refunds your money. Bring the packaging and any unused product to your local ALDI store manager. The guarantee applies to in-store purchases only.
It does not cover non-food ALDI Finds items, alcohol national brands, replacements received through an earlier claim, or problems unrelated to quality. When several units fail for the same reason, each may be refunded but only one replacement is given.
Coming back without the receipt
The receipt decides the form of your money, not whether ALDI helps. With it, the refund goes back to your card or cash. Without it, you leave with a Merchandise Credit gift card worth the item's current retail price, which may differ from what you paid. ALDI can limit or refuse refunds, replacements or credits where it suspects fraud or abuse.
Receipt copy lookup with a manager
- Go back to the ALDI store where you made the purchase.
- Bring the card you used to pay.
- Ask to speak with the manager and request a copy of the receipt.
ALDI's help center does not describe an online lookup for in-store receipts.
Grocery orders placed online
Orders through aldi.us are fulfilled by service providers such as Instacart, and the Twice as Nice Guarantee does not apply to them. The final receipt goes to the email address on your online account. You can also click your name in the upper right, choose Order history and open the order. ALDI receipts without the trip back
Driving back to the store with your card is a lot of effort for one slip. Snap the receipt in the Smartbills app at checkout instead. Online order receipts emailed after delivery are picked up by email receipt capture, and grocery runs for a team lunch or the office kitchen can be grouped on an expense report.
