How to get a Publix receipt

Publix receipts are saved in your Club Publix account as Purchases: log in, select Account, then Purchases, and switch between online orders and in-store history. A store trip is saved only when you enter your phone number on the PIN pad at checkout, and Publix keeps it for up to 180 days. With no receipt at all, Publix may look up the sale if you paid by card or entered your number, and otherwise refunds onto a Publix gift card.
Publix receipt lookup in Purchases
The feature used to be called e-receipts. It is open only to Club Publix members, and joining is free.
- Log in at publix.com or in the Publix app.
- Select Account, then Purchases.
- Toggle between online orders and in-store purchases and open the trip you need.
Online orders appear there like any other Publix purchase.
The phone number has to go in at the register
Look for Customer ID Accepted on the checkout screen after typing your number. If you forget, Publix cannot add the purchase to your account afterward, and the register prints a paper receipt by default. The reverse also works: skip the number when you would rather not have a trip saved.
Printed, emailed or neither
Sign in, go to Settings and scroll to Receipt Preferences. Choose a printed copy at checkout, an emailed copy, or neither. An emailed copy is useful when a purchase has to reach someone else, such as a bookkeeper.
Publix refunds when the receipt is missing
Publix's refund policy works in three steps:
- With a receipt, Publix replaces the item or refunds it in full to your original payment.
- If you paid with a card or entered your phone number, Publix may be able to look up your receipt and give the same full refund.
- If it cannot be found, you may be asked to identify yourself as a Club Publix member or show government-issued photo ID, and the credit comes as a Publix gift card.
Your saved purchase history counts like a paper receipt. Show it on your phone or as a printout at Customer Service.
Publix purchases past the 180 days
Purchases disappear from your account after about six months, which is shorter than most tax years. Connect Club Publix and bill fetching has our AI agent copy each new purchase out of your account before it ages off. If you set Receipt Preferences to email, email receipt capture files every copy as it arrives, and business grocery spend stays organized with your tax receipts.
