A Whole Foods Market receipt appears on Amazon's Your Orders page when the in-store purchase was linked to your Amazon account at checkout. That happens when you pay with a card saved in your Amazon account, scan the QR code, enter your Amazon phone number, or pay with an Amazon One account linked to Amazon.com. Keep that receipt: Whole Foods requires proof of purchase for every return, within 30 days.

What links a purchase to Amazon
- Paying with a card saved as a payment method in your Amazon account.
- Scanning the designated QR code at checkout.
- Entering the phone number tied to your Amazon account on the customer-facing display.
- Paying with an Amazon One account linked to Amazon.com.
Linking is also what applies any Prime savings to the transaction.
Dash Cart receipts
Shopping with a Dash Cart sends an email receipt shortly after you check out. The same receipt sits in the account section of the Whole Foods Market app and in Your Orders.
Returns need proof of purchase
The Whole Foods Market return policy promises a full refund or exchange, with exceptions, for 30 days. All returns require proof of purchase, and refunds go to the original form of payment. The policy describes no option for a return without one. Returns made with a gift receipt, or for purchases paid with a Campus Card, are refunded on a Merchandise Return Card. Apparel and shoes must be unworn with tags, and gift cards cannot be returned. For anything else, ask the shift manager on duty.
A receipt you do not recognize
Someone else may have used a card stored in your Amazon wallet, or your phone number. Remove that card from your Amazon account, or in the Whole Foods Market app tap the Account icon, choose Use my mobile number and switch off Use my mobile number at checkout.
Whole Foods receipts out of Your Orders
