How to get an H-E-B receipt

H-E-B's receipt look-up is used at the store when you return something without the slip: if you paid electronically, staff can usually locate the purchase and treat the return as receipted. For a copy of an in-store receipt, email H-E-B's Electronic Payment Team at ml.epc.forms@heb.com with the details listed below. Curbside and delivery receipts are emailed after the order, and the My H-E-B app shows them under Orders.

H-E-B receipt lookup at the store

The H-E-B Refund Policy says that in most cases a purchase paid by credit card, debit card, personal check, Lone Star card or H-E-B Gift Card can be found with the look-up feature. Once it is found, the return is processed as a receipted refund to your original payment. Cash purchases are not on that list.

Request a copy of a store receipt by email

Write to ml.epc.forms@heb.com with the heading ATTN: Front End Services: Credit/Debit Card Receipt Request and include:

  • Your first and last name.
  • The date, amount and store location of the purchase.
  • The first 6 and last 4 digits of the card used. Never send the full card number.
  • A copy of a work badge, business card, or state license or ID.
  • A written statement authorizing H-E-B to release the receipt.
  • A call-back number and the email address where the receipt should go.

Curbside and delivery receipts

  1. In the My H-E-B app, tap Orders.
  2. Find the order and tap View details.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap View receipt.

The receipt is also emailed once the order is picked up or delivered, and it is on your heb.com account page.

H-E-B returns without a receipt

Most items can be exchanged or refunded with a receipt dated within 90 days. Without a receipt and without a look-up match:

  • A valid government-issued ID is required for every non-receipted return or exchange.
  • The refund comes as an H-E-B Gift Card.

Seasonal items, including most lawn and garden goods, have 30 days with the original packaging. Clearance items, gift cards, stamps and tickets are final sale. Online orders can be refunded within 14 days of pickup or delivery through order details or the Customer Contact Center at 1-855-803-0611.

H-E-B receipts without the email request

The email route asks for a badge, a signed statement and card digits for every single receipt. Avoiding that is simpler.
