How to get a Tanguay invoice

Invoice lookup in your Tanguay account

1. Click Sign in on tanguay.ca.
2. Go to your customer area.
3. Open Your purchase history and pick the order.

The pages are published in French first, where the section is called Votre historique d'achat. If an invoice is missing, Tanguay's customer service line is 1-800-826-4829.

Paying a balance before delivery

When an invoice still shows an amount owing, the customer area has a Pay an invoice balance option that runs through Tanguay's secure online payment system. Orders placed on the website are paid in full at checkout instead. Either way, Tanguay only books a delivery date once the item is fully paid and has reached a distribution centre.

Delivery dates and pickup

The order tracking page shows where your order stands and offers an interactive calendar for booking or moving the delivery. Changes are accepted up to 48 hours before the scheduled day. Pickup is possible at any store or distribution centre; bring the credit card used to pay and a piece of photo ID.

Returns, exchanges and delivery damage

• Damage or defects: report within 48 business hours of delivery through the online service request, which lists your delivered orders, or by phone.
• Refunds: within 7 days of delivery or pickup, for an item that is new and complete.
• Exchanges: within 30 days, depending on stock.
• Fees: up to 20% may be deducted based on weight, volume and location.

Special orders, floor models sold as is, and delivery or installation fees are final. Mattresses are handled by the Garantie Confort program, which allows one exchange between 60 and 90 days.

Fairstone financing statements

Financing at Tanguay is provided by Fairstone Financial. Active accounts get a monthly statement, online through Fairstone's account management or by mail if you have not registered. Payments go to Fairstone through online banking, a Fairstone branch or a cheque, and Tanguay stores will not take them. Keep both records: the Tanguay invoice describes the goods, the Fairstone statements describe the loan.

GST and QST on furniture for a business

Office furniture or an appliance for business premises can support input tax credits. The Canada Revenue Agency requires the supplier's GST/HST registration number on invoices from $100 to $499.99. From $500, the invoice must also show the buyer's name, a short description of the goods and the payment terms.
