Straight Talk is prepaid and has no monthly bill to download. The record of each payment is in Transactions: log in to My Account on the website, tap the person icon at the top right, choose Transactions, set a date range and tap Filter. Expanding a transaction shows the payment method used and any discounts applied.
Paying for Straight Talk service
- My Account or the Straight Talk app: pay with a new or saved credit or debit card, or with PayPal. The app shows a confirmation message once the payment succeeds.
- Service Cards: sold at participating Walmart stores, found through the Straight Talk store locator. Keep the Walmart receipt, since the card itself is not a receipt.
- Text 611611: Straight Talk's text feature checks the balance, refills and manages plans.
How Straight Talk Auto Pay works
Signing up enrolls every eligible line, plan and perk on the account. The chosen payment method is charged on your payment date, and a backup method can be added in case the first one fails. Notifications go out before and after each automatic payment. A plan PIN waiting in your Reserve is applied first, before any card is charged. Most major credit and debit cards are accepted, as are services like Trustly that link to a bank account. You can manage or cancel Auto Pay on the website or in the app, with no cancellation fee.
Auto Pay doesn't generate a separate bill. The entry in Transactions is the record to keep for each renewal.
Reading the Transactions page
- Log in to My Account on the Straight Talk website.
- Tap the person icon in the header and choose Transactions.
- Use the calendar icons to set the Start Date and End Date, then tap Filter.
- Tap the down arrow on a transaction for the payment method, discounts and other details.
Billing address on file
Under the person icon, Account & Payment holds your name, email and contact phone, and the Address Book tab holds the billing ZIP code. Correct it there before printing records for an employer.
Straight Talk payments as receipts
Prepaid service leaves a trail of small charges and Walmart slips rather than a tidy bill. Snap the Walmart slip with the receipt scanner, and forward the payment notifications to email receipt capture. A phone used for work then has proof of each month for an expense report.
