How to get a Sprouts receipt

For a Sprouts online order, the receipt arrives by email when the order is complete, and every past one stays in Your Orders under View order detail. In-store purchases are different: Sprouts says it is working to bring back in-store purchase history. For now, the paper slip from the register is the receipt for a store trip. Keep it, because Sprouts refunds to your original payment only when you have one.

Online receipt lookup in Your Orders

  1. Sign in at sprouts.com or in the Sprouts app.
  2. Open Your Orders.
  3. Pick the order and select View order detail to see its receipt.

Sprouts online orders are handled by Instacart. The Sprouts contact page sends questions about orders, deliveries and payments to Instacart support at 1-888-246-7822 or help@instacart.com, and asks you to include the order date and the phone number on the order.

In-store purchases: no history for now

Asked how to view past in-store purchases, Sprouts' FAQ answers that only online purchases display in Your Orders, and that in-store history is being restored. Until it returns, the account won't show a store trip's receipt, even when you scanned your Sprouts Rewards number at checkout.

Missed a Rewards scan? The slip fills the gap

If you forgot to scan your Rewards number, the Sprouts contact form lets you claim the points with details from your receipt: the Point of Sale ID, the Transaction ID and the Date of Service. Without the slip there is nothing to enter in those fields, which is one more reason to hang on to it.

Sprouts returns with and without a receipt

Sprouts promises a refund if you aren't happy with a purchase. The form of the refund follows how you paid:

  • Cash, debit or electronic check shown on the receipt: refund in cash.
  • Credit or EBT: back to the card, with the receipt and the original card.
  • No receipt, a gift card payment or a manual check: a Sprouts gift card.

Every return without a receipt requires ID, and limits apply. Alcohol refunds are left to the store manager's discretion, and local laws on alcohol returns vary.

Sprouts receipts filed for you

Online orders sit in your Sprouts account with their receipts attached, which our AI agent can sign in to and download through bill fetching. The completion emails can also land in Smartbills by email receipt capture. For store trips, which Sprouts isn't saving right now, photograph the slip with the receipt scanner before the bag goes in the recycling.
