Shell

To get a Shell fuel receipt, pay at the pump through the Shell App and the receipt is saved in the app. In the US, tap Receipts on the home page; in Canada, select More, then Transactions & Receipts. A fill-up paid at the counter or without the app cannot be added later.

Paying at the pump in the app

Tap Pay, then Pay at the pump, enter your pump number and follow the prompts to confirm payment.

Receipts in the US

Return to the home page and tap Receipts to view your digital receipt.

Receipts in Canada

  1. Open the Shell App and select More in the bottom menu.
  2. Select Transactions & Receipts.

Shell Canada also sends receipts by email.

Fuel Rewards

The separate Fuel Rewards app has been retired. Members move their account into the Shell App by signing in with the same email and password, and savings are applied automatically at the pump.

What the app cannot do

The app does not accept manual entry of receipts or transactions. A fill-up you paid for at the counter, or without the app, cannot be added later; keep that paper receipt instead.

Shell fill-ups captured for the mileage file

Fuel is one of the most frequent expenses for anyone who drives for work. In Canada, Shell's emailed receipts can be filed by email receipt capture from your inbox the moment you hang up the nozzle. Where the receipt only lives in the app, connect your Shell account and our AI agent signs in and saves each one through bill fetching. Paid inside with a card instead? Snap the paper slip in the Smartbills app.
