How to get a Walgreens receipt

myWalgreens digital receipts

Enroll in digital receipts through the Walgreens app, your Walgreens.com account or at the register. It is free and separate from paper receipts, which you can switch back to in your account settings. Each receipt then goes to your email or to the app, whichever you choose, and copies are kept in your myWalgreens dashboard. Without enrolling, you only get emails for Walgreens.com orders, not store purchases.

Walgreens.com orders

1. Log in and hover over Purchases.
2. Select Purchase History.
3. Open the order and use the print or PDF icon.

For pickup orders, the receipt is in your account and in the email sent after pickup. Ask the team member before they process the order if you want paper.

Order lookup

Without an account, use Walgreens.com's guest order lookup with the order number, last name and phone number.

FSA and HSA purchases

FSA-eligible products are marked with an F on Walgreens receipts. Save, email or print the receipt and submit it to your FSA or HSA administrator, who decides what your plan covers.

Prescription history

Prescription transaction history is separate. In Walgreens' pharmacy section, choose a date range and print it, useful for medical expense claims.

Returning to Walgreens without a receipt

Walgreens returns and exchanges are accepted at any store within 30 days of the purchase date, and they are meant to come with the original receipt or the order number. That is why the digital receipts and purchase history above are worth setting up: either one gives you the receipt back.

Without a receipt or order number, a return is up to the store manager. If it is approved, the refund comes as in-store credit on a Walgreens gift card. Walgreens also says every return is subject to its verification process, and it may limit or refuse returns.
