How to find an IKEA receipt

IKEA keeps receipts for in-store and online purchases in your account, as long as you used your IKEA Family card or IKEA Business Network account when you paid.
In your purchase history
- Log in to your account on IKEA.com.
- Open Purchase History (in Canada, Purchases).
- Select the purchase, then View Invoice or Download a receipt.
Orders placed on IKEA.com
Invoices for online orders are also attached to the order confirmation email. For an order still on its way, use Track and manage my orders with the order number and your email or phone number.
IKEA Business Network
Business Network members find their shopping history on their profile page, where a receipt can be turned into an invoice. If your business needs invoices rather than receipts, join before you shop: IKEA's US site notes it no longer provides purchase invoices to private customers, and pro-forma invoices are reserved for IKEA for Business. Rules vary by country; check your local IKEA site.
If you did not use an account
A purchase made before your account was registered cannot be retrieved online. In the US, customer support can search card purchases by the last four digits of the card, the store, the approximate date and the exact amount. Otherwise, contact IKEA customer service.
Furniture for an office
Desks and shelving bought for a business are often assets rather than expenses, and the invoice is what your accountant needs to record them.
Returning to IKEA without a receipt
IKEA's US return policy does not publish a rule for returns without a receipt. What it does say: unopened products can be returned within 365 days, and opened products within 180 days with your proof of purchase for a full refund. For an exchange in store, IKEA asks for photo ID and the receipt or online order confirmation.
Before you go, find the receipt in your purchase history as shown above. An online order confirmation counts. For anything the policy does not cover, IKEA points you to its Customer Support Center or chat.
IKEA purchases filed without a trip to the account
Online orders arrive with the invoice attached to the confirmation email, which email receipt capture files from your inbox as it arrives. Store purchases made with your Family or Business Network card wait in purchase history, where our AI agent can sign in and save each receipt or invoice through bill fetching. Forgot to scan the card? Take a photo of the paper receipt in the Smartbills app on the way to the car park.
