Etsy

To find an Etsy receipt, open your account menu, select Purchases and reviews, find the order and choose View receipt; in the app, tap You, then Purchases. The receipt shows what you bought, the payment method, any refunds and the tax Etsy collected.

On Etsy.com

  1. Open your account menu and select Purchases and reviews.
  2. Find the order and select View receipt.

In the Etsy app

  1. Tap You, then Purchases.
  2. Open the order and tap the receipt total.

Where tax appears

Where Etsy collects sales tax, VAT or GST, it adds it to your total at the last step of checkout and pays it to the tax authority. On digital items, prices include VAT where it applies, and the receipt shows it.

Official invoices

In some cases the receipt offers an official invoice: buyers in the EU and UK can see the VAT on the receipt and select Print Options, and buyers of physical items imported into Australia or New Zealand can download an official GST invoice with View official invoice. Elsewhere, Etsy's default receipt cannot serve as a VAT invoice. If you need one, ask the seller, who is responsible for providing a compliant invoice.

If the order is not there

You may have bought it while signed in to a different account, or checked out as a guest. A guest order can be connected to your account by claiming it.

Etsy orders filed from many small shops

Supplies and client gifts bought on Etsy usually come from many sellers, each with its own order email. Email receipt capture picks every Etsy receipt email out of your inbox and reads the tax line. For the official invoices Etsy issues in some regions, connect your Etsy account and our AI agent signs in to Purchases and reviews and saves them through bill fetching. Both feed the same expense report.
