How to get a Norton invoice

Norton

If an email titled as a Norton invoice asks you to call a number about a charge, stop and check your Norton account first. Norton warns that scammers send fake renewal notices with an attached invoice and a phone number to cancel a pending charge. Your genuine receipts are under Order History in your Norton account, and real email comes only from domains Norton publishes.

How to recognize a fake Norton invoice

  • It threatens to charge your card unless you respond, or warns of expired protection or an infection.
  • It asks you to call a number, open an attachment, sign in on a look-alike site, or reply with personal or account information.
  • It has spelling or grammar mistakes, or an offer that seems too good to be true.
  • It appears to come from another company, such as PayPal or Microsoft, while carrying a Norton renewal notice.

Check the sender against Norton's list

Norton publishes the domains it emails from, among them @norton.com, @mail.norton.com, @subscriptions.norton.com, @nortonlifelock.com and @cleverbridge.com. Search that list for the part of the address after the @. When the domain is not listed, forward the message as an attachment to spam@norton.com and never call a number it gives. If you still cannot tell, contact Norton Member Services and Support through Norton's site.

Where your real Norton receipt is

  1. Sign in to your Norton account.
  2. Hover over My Account at the top right and click Order History.
  3. Click the order number, or expand Order Details, and select Receipt.
  4. Download or print it.

Order History shows the product, order date and number, status, payment method, and the subtotal, tax and total charged.

Automatic renewals and the invoice lookup

For an auto-renewing subscription, Norton treats the renewal confirmation email as the receipt; it carries the tax information and order amounts. The My Subscriptions tab shows each product's renewal status. Order History is the lookup for genuine orders, though Norton notes that protection from a service provider or preinstalled on a new computer may not appear there.

Real Norton receipts, filed from the source

The safest copy of a Norton receipt is the one you pull from your own account. Connect the Norton account and our AI agent signs in after each renewal and downloads the receipt from Order History with bill fetching. The record you keep never comes from a link in an email. Confirmations from Norton's listed domains can be filed by email receipt capture, and the tax on each order is kept for your return.
