Kent Building Supplies can look up your receipt if you bought on a KENT Account: its return policy says those purchases can be found in its system. Otherwise, KENT asks for the original receipt on returns, warranty claims and plant guarantees. For online orders, a kent.ca account lets you view and track your orders and see your order history.
Receipts on a KENT Account
Buying on a KENT Account is the only receipt lookup KENT's official pages mention. For a contractor or business on an in-house account, a lost slip doesn't have to sink a return. The same paragraph of the policy adds that a manager's approval is then required and the item may carry a restocking fee.
KENT PRO and in-house accounts
The KENT PRO Service Team at your local store sets up PRO pricing and in-house accounts for purchases on agreed payment terms, with several payment methods for you and your crew. PRO Rewards gives up to 4% back on cash, credit card or in-house account purchases, and its activity and balance appear online and in a monthly PRO Rewards statement sent by email. That statement tracks rewards. It isn't an invoice for the materials, which still need their receipts.
Orders on kent.ca
A kent.ca account shows order and shipping status and your order history. When you're charged depends on how the order reaches you: at pickup for in-store pickup, when parcels ship, and within one business day of delivery for KENT delivery and appliance delivery. Cards, PayPal and digital wallets may show a temporary authorization hold first. One order can be charged on several dates when items ship, deliver or get picked up at different times.
The Money Back Guarantee
Returns are accepted within 90 days of purchase, by mail or at any KENT location, with the original receipt and the product in its original packaging. With proof of receipt, the refund goes back to the original form of payment. Without a cash receipt, KENT asks you to allow a 24-hour processing period and refunds on a KENT gift card.
Items bought through Instacart or DoorDash return to a KENT store within 90 days with government-issued photo ID, refunded on a gift card. Gas-powered machinery is non-refundable, mixed paint can't come back unless it doesn't match the official chip, and appliance returns carry a 25% restocking fee.
For input tax credits
On the CRA's chart of input tax credit requirements, a KENT receipt between $100 and $499.99 has to show KENT's GST/HST registration number. At $500 or more it also needs your name, a brief description and the payment terms. The KENT Account lookup helps with a return; your claim still needs the receipt itself.
