Fiverr issues an invoice for every payment you make, and you download it from a desktop browser: click your profile image, then Billing and Payments, open Billing History and click PDF beside the invoice. The mobile app does not offer invoices. Freelancers receive invoices only for Fiverr services they buy, never for the commission taken from their earnings.
The three documents Fiverr issues
- Invoice, numbered from FI: one per payment. An order, an extra added later and a tip make three invoices.
- Credit invoice, numbered from FC: issued for cancellations and partial refunds, with the original FI number on it.
- Receipt: only for deposits into a Fiverr Pro balance, listing the transfer method, deposit date and total.
Orders paid entirely with Fiverr Credits, referral funds, promotional funds or deposits produce no invoice at all.
Billing History as your lookup
Billing History can be filtered and searched. Tick several invoices to download a CSV report or a ZIP of PDFs, or reach the page from any order through View billing history. Fiverr will not merge invoices into one PDF. Invoices from before May 2021 are not online and come from Customer Support instead. On Pro and organization accounts, only Admins and Billing Managers can open them.
What freelancers receive
Sellers get no invoice for completed orders; Fiverr points them to earnings documents for tax purposes. Seller Plus and Fiverr Ads, which sellers pay for, do come with invoices in the same Billing History. The percentage held back before revenue is released is not invoiced.
Name, company and tax ID
By default an invoice shows only your username and country. Add your full name, company, address and tax ID on the billing information page, or with Add details at checkout, and new invoices carry them. To fix an existing FI invoice, update the details first, then send Customer Support its number. FC credit invoices cannot be reissued. A checkbox at the bottom of the billing information page turns on invoice emails, which hold a link rather than an attachment.
Fiverr orders, filed per gig
One gig can produce three or four invoices once extras and tips are added. Switch on Fiverr's invoice emails and email receipt capture picks up each one as it arrives. Bill fetching covers the rest straight from Billing History with your Fiverr login, and an employee who hired a freelancer on a personal account can claim the FI invoice on an expense report.
