How to get a Freelancer.com invoice

Freelancer.com keeps its invoices in your Transaction History: click your profile picture in the main menu bar, choose Transaction History and click the PDF icon beside an added-funds entry or a site fee. Every Milestone Payment also has its own invoice on the project page, which both the client and the freelancer can open.
Fees and deposits in Transaction History
Entries run from newest to oldest with date, description, currency and amount, and separate tabs show Invoices, Milestones and Pending Funds. Processing fees on added funds appear as their own lines, apart from the deposit. The question mark icon explains a line, and the PDF icon opens its invoice, which you save with the browser's download button or a right-click on Save as.
What a deposit invoice shows
Bill From carries Freelancer.com's details and Bill To carries yours, which you edit on the Profile Details page. The invoice also states the purpose of the charge, the added funds with a transaction ID, the amount taken from your payment source, an invoice number, the date and the currency. With an active billing agreement and too little balance, Freelancer.com charges the payment source automatically to cover fees you incur.
Milestone invoices on the project page
A Milestone Payment invoice exists from the moment the milestone is created. On the project's Payments tab, an in-progress milestone shows it through the drop-down button and View Invoice, marked Proforma because the freelancer has not been paid yet. A released milestone has a direct View Invoice link and reads Paid. Some users also see Download invoice summary under Payment Summary, one consolidated file with the deposits, project fee and released milestones for that project.
Exporting a year
In Transaction History, choose a date range and PDF or CSV, then click Export. If you have paid or earned in several currencies, the Currency dropdown shows each one separately.
Freelancer.com fees, kept per project
Project fees and deposit invoices end up spread across project pages and the transaction list. Bill fetching sends our AI agent into Freelancer.com with your login to save each invoice PDF once it exists. For freelancers, a year of project fees belongs with the other tax receipts, and an employee who funded a small job on a personal card can put the deposit invoice on an expense report.
