To pay a DHL Express invoice in the United States, sign in to DHL MyBill and pay by credit card or bank transfer, call 1-800-722-0081 and choose option 2 to pay by card, or mail your payment to DHL's Chicago collections address. MyBill is also where DHL Express account holders view, search and download their invoices.
Paying a DHL invoice
- Online in MyBill: pay with a credit card or a bank funds transfer, for both export and import accounts, and review your payment history in the same place.
- By phone: call 1-800-722-0081, select option 2 and pay with a credit card.
- By mail: send it to DHL Express (U.S.A.), Inc., 16592 Collections Center Drive, Chicago, IL 60693.
DHL's US payment page lists these three routes only. It does not describe automatic payment. Plan to settle each invoice yourself.
Registering for MyBill
MyBill is free. From Sign-up to MyBill, enter the billing country and your DHL Express account number, fill in the registration form, then follow the link in the confirmation email to set a password. That password is separate from your MyDHL+ password. Without an account number you first need a DHL Express account, and DHL notes that some MyBill features vary by country.
Invoice lookup in MyBill
The search screen filters by DHL Express account number, invoice number, waybill number, invoice type, status and issue date, and you can save a search you run often. Unpaid and overdue invoices show on the dashboard, and once an invoice is paid it moves to the invoice history screen. MyBill can also email you whenever a new invoice is issued.
Downloading invoices and reports
Invoices and shipping documents can be downloaded, and invoice data can be exported as a CSV report built from the columns you choose. Files on the Archive and Search screens are deleted after 12 months, which is why DHL recommends saving them as soon as they are ready.
Reading the charges
DHL publishes an invoice guide that explains the categories and codes on an international shipping invoice. When a line looks wrong, MyBill lets you pick that line item and raise a question about it, and the invoice then appears under Invoices under inquiry until it is resolved.
DHL invoices collected before they expire
A year of MyBill files disappears on a rolling basis, and import duty invoices tend to arrive when nobody is watching.
