To get a Delta receipt, sign in at delta.com and open My Receipts, which keeps ticket, bag and other delta.com receipts for the past 24 months. For a flight in the last 24 hours, My Trips can email one. No account? Email ticketreceipt@delta.com with the passenger's name and the 13-digit ticket number.
Right after your trip: My Trips
For a flight in the last 24 hours:
- Go to delta.com and select My Trips at the top of the page.
- Enter the first name, last name and confirmation number, then search.
- Scroll down to Payment Details and select Email Receipt.
- Enter the email address the receipt should go to and submit.
The last 24 months: My Receipts
If you are signed in to a delta.com account, the My Receipts feature holds ticket receipts, baggage receipts and receipts for other purchases made through delta.com from the past 24 months. It is the easiest route for an older trip, and one more reason to book while signed in.
No login: email Delta
Send a request to ticketreceipt@delta.com. It has to come from the ticketed passenger or the credit card holder, and it should include:
- The passenger's name.
- The ticket number: 13 digits, starting with 006. Baggage receipt numbers start with 00682.
- The card type you paid with, such as Visa, Mastercard or American Express. Do not send the card number.
If you do not have the ticket number, give the passenger name, the date of travel, the departure airport and the card type, or say you paid cash.
Booked through an agency or another site
When the ticket was bought from a travel agency or an online travel site, that company holds the record of sale. Ask them for a copy of the ticket or the invoice.
Bag fees on their own receipt
Checked bag fees get their own receipt, numbered from 00682. Delta's published fees within the US are $45 for the first checked bag and $55 for the second, though the amount depends on the route, when you booked and your Medallion status. Bag fees do not earn SkyMiles, and neither do Sky Club purchases or Wi-Fi passes.
Keep receipts until the miles post
Delta's SkyMiles rules ask members to keep ticket receipts and boarding passes until the mileage credit appears on their statement. If miles go missing, the receipt is your evidence.
A Delta trip that files its own receipts
Delta sends a confirmation email when you book and when you buy extras, and email receipt capture picks those up from your inbox the moment they land, keeping fare and bags apart for the expense report. If you fly Delta often, connect your SkyMiles account as well: our AI agent signs in to My Receipts and fetches each ticket and baggage receipt before the 24-month window closes, through bill fetching.
