How to get a Dell invoice

Sign in to My Account on dell.com, select Orders in the left pane and click Open Invoice on the order. Dell posts the invoice 48 hours after the order ships. If your company uses consolidated invoicing by purchase order, it posts 48 hours after the last item on that PO ships.
Invoice lookup in My Account
Delivered orders also show Open Invoice among their action buttons. Without an account, you can still check an order's status on the Order Support page with the Dell Purchase ID (DPID) or the order number, but Dell's help does not describe an invoice download for guests. Purchases paid through Dell Financing may come with a receipt rather than an invoice copy.
Premier Invoicing Report for business accounts
Dell Premier customers have a report built for accounts payable. Open the Account menu at the top left of the Premier home page, choose Orders or Reports and select the Premier Invoicing Report. It covers two years of invoices, searchable by invoice, order or PO number, with filters for customer number, paid or unpaid status and timeframe. You can download up to 10 invoice PDFs at a time, as electronic certified copies, and export up to 2,000 rows to CSV. If the report is missing, your Dell Sales Account Team can enable it or add customer numbers.
An invoice that has not appeared after shipment can be requested from Dell Order Support, typically 3 to 6 working days after the ship date.
Packing slips
The packing slip lists every item in the delivery. Within 24 months of the ship date, open it from Order Details with Open Packing Slip. Older ones go through Get Help in My Account.
Tax charged in error
If an exempt organization was charged sales tax, open Orders in My Account and choose Get Help on the order. Dell may ask for your exemption documents. During a state sales tax holiday, tax on a qualifying order drops off when the order is invoiced, which is why the invoice can differ from the checkout total.
Dell hardware invoices kept with the asset
A laptop invoice gets asked for again at warranty time, at depreciation time and when the device is retired. Our AI agent can sign in to your Dell account and save each invoice once it posts through bill fetching. An employee who bought a monitor for home can attach the PDF to an expense report, and the yearly hardware spend lines up for tax receipts.
