How to get a Lenovo invoice

Lenovo's US shopping FAQ answers it in one line: an invoice may be downloaded from Order Lookup. The same page lets you check ship status, cancel an order that has not shipped or start a return. The invoice date matters more than usual at Lenovo, because return windows are counted from it.

Order Lookup: the invoice lookup

Order Lookup is linked from the header of lenovo.com under Order Support. Once an order ships, the tracking number appears there too, and a shipping confirmation goes to the email on the order. Ship and delivery dates shown there are estimates and can move, especially for customized machines.

Why one order shows several charges

Lenovo may place a pre-authorization at checkout, which is not a charge. The card is charged when the order ships. If items ship separately as they become available, each shipment is charged on its own, and Lenovo may re-authorize the unshipped amount. Match each card line to the shipment, not to the order total. A cancelled order's authorization can sit on the card for up to 10 business days, depending on the bank.

Payment methods and purchase orders

Lenovo.com accepts major credit cards, wires, check drafts, Amazon Pay, Google Pay and PayPal, and offers financing. For wire, check or financing orders, shipment may wait until funds clear. To pay by purchase order, contact Lenovo Sales.

Tax exemption at checkout

Sign in or create a Lenovo account, then click Are you tax exempt? under the Order Summary during the Contact or Delivery step and upload a valid certificate. Submitting it attests that the purchase qualifies in your state. Already paid tax on an eligible order? Call Lenovo Customer Service at 1-855-253-6686; reimbursement is not guaranteed and can take up to 90 days.

Return windows start at the invoice date

Returns without shipping or restocking fees run from the invoice date: 30 calendar days on Lenovo.com, 14 for Lenovo Outlet, 45 for LenovoPRO and 14 for Motorola. Start the return in Order Lookup. Late returns and orders of more than five PCs can carry a 15% restocking fee.

Lenovo invoices on file before the window closes

Since the return clock starts on the invoice, having it filed the day it is issued helps. Our AI agent can sign in to your Lenovo account and save each invoice through bill fetching. Staff who order a docking station for home can submit it on an expense report, and the hardware spend is ready for tax receipts.

Lenovo charges each shipment when it leaves. Items that ship separately produce separate charges, and re-authorizations for the unshipped amount are holds, not charges.
