For US HP Store orders, HP treats your order receipt email and the online order details as the invoice. Open the order details and click PRINT at the top right to save it as a PDF or print it. Your order number doubles as the invoice number.
Guest order lookup
Find the order by signing in to your HP Store account (My orders) or by entering the order number, the email used on the order and the last 4 digits of the billing phone number. Guest orders never appear in account order history. Each one has to be looked up on its own with those three details.
When there is no receipt email
If payment failed or the order is under security review, you may not get an order receipt email at all; HP shows a message or sends a review notice instead. An order that was never submitted is still sitting in your cart. Check the email address used at checkout before contacting HP Store Order Support.
When the invoice total looks different
Order summaries, invoices and emails can show prices, discounts, tax, shipping, credits and refunds differently depending on the transaction and timing. Orders shipped to California can also include a recycling fee on qualifying products. Ask Order Support with your order number and the specific line you are questioning.
Tax-exempt organizations
HP validates exemptions after the order is placed. Your order is first charged sales tax. Send valid exemption documentation during or after purchase; once it is validated, HP credits the tax to the original payment account when the order ships. Resale certificates are not accepted through this process, since HP Store products are for end use. Resellers email Mvar@hp.com and work through HP's business or reseller channels.
Business, purchase order and account-managed orders
Orders placed with a purchase order or on payment terms may follow different return and support rules. Account-managed orders go through your Account Manager, and businesses needing multiple users or purchasing controls should contact HP business sales.
HP order receipts filed from the inbox
Because the receipt email is the invoice, it should not stay buried in one person's inbox. Forward it to email receipt capture and it is filed with the order number as its reference. An employee who bought a printer for the office can claim it through expense reports, and the year's HP purchases are ready for tax receipts.
