To get CVS receipts by email, set your In-store receipts preference in the CVS Health app or on CVS.com to always email, or email and print. For a lost receipt on health purchases, CVS sends a free FSA report of everything bought with your ExtraCare card over the past 14 months. Prescription receipts are under Prescription History in your account.
Turning on email receipts
In the CVS Health app, sign in, tap the Account icon, then Settings, Communication preferences and the In-store receipts section. On CVS.com, open My Account, Profile and preferences, then Communications preferences under CVS Communications. Choose always email, always email and print, or decide at checkout.
If the In-store receipts section is missing, CVS asks you to call 1-800-746-7287 or ask a store colleague.
The FSA report for lost receipts
Call 1-800-SHOP-CVS and press 2 for an ExtraCare representative. CVS sends a report of the FSA-eligible purchases made with your ExtraCare card, in store and online, going back 14 months, by mail or by email. It is free, and it is built for substantiating FSA claims and checking health purchases that may be tax deductible.
Prescription history
Once prescription management is added to your account, sign in, open Pharmacy, then Prescription Center and the Prescription History tab. It lists refills, the date of the last fill and the amount paid, and you can print it. Filter by patient for linked family members, or by month and year.
Office supplies and first aid kits
CVS is also where many small offices restock first aid, cleaning and break room supplies. Those purchases need a normal receipt for the books, which is one more reason to switch to email receipts: they arrive in your inbox instead of fading in a wallet.
CVS receipts filed as they arrive
With email receipts on, every CVS trip lands in your inbox, and email receipt capture files each one with its items and tax read off. A paper receipt from before you switched takes a photo in the Smartbills app, and medical purchases are kept together for your tax receipts.
