How to get a Compass Card receipt

Compass Card receipts depend on where you bought. Online and phone purchases of Stored Value or passes are emailed to the address on your Compass account. At a Compass Vending Machine, choose the receipt option at the end of the transaction. At a TransLink Customer Service Centre, the clerk hands you a receipt. For a history of purchases, log in at compasscard.ca, go to My Cards and open Card Usage.
Card Usage: sales and trips
Card Usage has two views. Filter by Sales transaction to see and download what you loaded, including Stored Value and Monthly Pass AutoLoads. Usage transactions show your taps in and out and any Stored Value taken for each trip. In the sales view, a pass shows as $0, since only Stored Value amounts are listed there; the pass's price is on its purchase receipt.
Longer history
Registered users can see travel and transaction history in their account, and the most recent 24 hours may not show yet. For recent and long-term history, Compass Customer Service can help by phone at 1-888-207-4055. At a vending machine, you can view the last eight transactions on a card.
Register the card first
History online is tied to a registered card. Registration also protects your balance, enables AutoLoad and is required for a Stored Value refund. Registering as soon as you get the card means the history is there when you need it.
Machine receipts and refunds
A vending machine receipt is more than a record. If a machine shows it did not return money owed, TransLink refunds the amount when you present that receipt. Without one, a refund request needs the station, the 5-digit machine number, the amount, the date and the approximate time.
Compass purchases kept together
Monthly passes and Stored Value loads are what a Vancouver commuter claims, and they arrive by email when bought online. Email receipt capture files each Compass purchase receipt, and a vending machine slip goes in with the receipt scanner. Connected to compasscard.ca, our AI agent can also sign in and download Card Usage history through bill fetching.
