How to get Ventra ride history and statements

Ventra records live in a registered account. Registering your Ventra Card makes transaction history available and lets you view and print account statements. Once registered, you can see ride history online at ventrachicago.com, in the Ventra app, or by phone at 1.877.NOW.VENTRA (1.877.669.8368). An unregistered card does not give you that history.
What registration unlocks
Ventra's user agreement lists the benefits of registering: account protection, AutoLoad, transaction history, and account statements you can view and print. Registering within 90 days of buying a card also credits the $5 card fee back as Transit Value. Registration asks for your card number, expiration date and CVV, plus your contact details and a 4-digit access code for phone self-service.
Ride history: online, app or phone
Registered accounts can view ride history on the website, in the Ventra app, or through the phone line. The Ventra FAQ does not say how far back history goes; call the Customer Call Center to find out for your account. It is open Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central time.
Contactless bank card charges
Tapping a credit or debit card instead of a Ventra Card works differently on your statement. Ventra often combines and processes those charges in batches at the end of a business day, and when they post depends on your bank. A single bank line can therefore cover several rides, and its date may not match the day you rode.
Using statements for a claim
For commuting costs your employer reimburses, the printable account statement is a cleaner document than a list of bank lines. Print or save it for the period you are claiming.
Ventra records kept month by month
CTA and Pace rides paid through Ventra add up across a month of commuting. Connect your Ventra account and our AI agent signs in and saves statements and ride history through bill fetching. A printed statement can also go in through the receipt scanner, and either way the fares reach your expense reports.
