How to get a Clio invoice

Your firm's Clio subscription invoices are in Clio Manage settings. Go to Settings > Account and Payment Info, select Payment Info, and under Payment History click Previous Payments for the history of paid subscription invoices. Only administrators can see and change this section.
Clio's bill to you, not your bills to clients
Clio is where many firms bill their own clients, and those bills live in the Billing tab. The invoices covered here are what Clio charges your firm for its licenses. Keep them in a separate folder from client billing so a subscription receipt is never mistaken for revenue.
Sales tax and exemption
When your subscription is subject to sales tax, the tax lines appear on the subscription invoice. Clio calculates them from your business address, which needs to be accurate. A tax-exempt firm sends its exemption certificate to tax@clio.com for processing.
Firm name, address and tax IDs
Under Account Info, administrators update the firm name, business and mailing addresses, contact details, and a LEDES ID, tax ID or GST number. Click Save New Information when done. Buying more Clio products requires every Business Address field to be filled in.
Changing the card
If a subscription payment failed or you want another card, open Payment Info and click Change Credit Card Information, then save.
Payment waivers on the receipt
A payment waiver is a discount on the subscription fee, shown with its expiry on your subscription receipt and in a blue banner under Subscription. On a 365-day cycle it appears on the first invoice; on a 30-day cycle the first invoice is paid in full and the waiver applies afterwards. Licenses added later are billed without it.
Invoice lookup for other Clio products
Previous Payments is the lookup for Clio Manage. Clio Grow and Clio Draft keep their own subscription billing pages in their settings.
Clio subscription invoices kept for the firm's books
Law firms add and drop licenses through the year, and each Clio invoice can differ. Connect an administrator login and our AI agent signs in to save every paid invoice from Previous Payments through bill fetching. Billing emails from Clio are filed by email receipt capture, and the cost of each license can be tracked on expense reports.
