To get a Clicknpark receipt, check the email sent when you booked, or open the app, go to the Sessions tab, select the reservation and download the receipt from the three-dot menu. Signed in with Apple? The receipt went to your Apple private relay address.
The emailed receipt
A receipt is emailed at purchase to the address used for the reservation. If you signed in with Apple, your account may use an Apple private relay address ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com. Look in the mailbox that receives those.
The receipt in the app
- Open the Clicknpark app and go to the Sessions tab.
- Select the reservation.
- In the reservation details, tap the circle with three dots in the top right-hand corner.
- Choose the option to download the receipt.
The Sessions tab sorts reservations into Active and Past.
Extending or cancelling a reservation
Extensions are made from the same Sessions tab: select the reservation, tap Modify and enter the new end date and time. You're charged the difference, and the extension can be refused if the space isn't available. A future reservation is cancelled from Modify as well, but not once its start time has passed, and a reservation that has already begun can't be shortened.
Can't find a reservation
You need to be signed in with the same email address as the reservation. Check it on the receipt emailed at purchase.
Contacting Clicknpark
Clicknpark support answers at 1 855 979-7275 and by email at help@clicknpark.com.
Parking as a business expense
For parking paid for work, the receipt is what supports the claim, since a card statement shows only the total. A monthly or multi-day booking can pass $100, and from there the CRA expects the seller's GST/HST registration number on the document behind an input tax credit.
Parking receipts without the search
The receipt Clicknpark emails at purchase is filed by email receipt capture, which reads each tax line. For a paper receipt from a pay station, a photo in the Smartbills app puts it on your expense report.
