Circuit électrique lets you export your charging history with the cost of each session. Sign in to your Circuit électrique account, click Recharges in the left menu, press the green button at the top right of the list, pick a period and click Exporter. A CSV file downloads with every charge in that period.
Turning the CSV into a record
Open the file in Microsoft Excel, Apple Numbers or Google Sheets to format it, filter a month or print it. One export can span a whole year, which suits a vehicle expense claim or an employer's reimbursement request.
How charging is paid
Charging is paid from funds held in your Circuit électrique account. The Circuit électrique card costs $15 plus taxes, and a new member has to deposit funds before the card can start a charge. Circuit électrique also has a video on turning on automatic top-ups of account funds.
Activation and parking fees
Asking the phone assistance line to start a charge adds a $5 fee to your account, on top of the charging cost. Starting with the app or the card avoids it. A station in a paid parking lot can also require paying for parking.
What the rates include
All Circuit électrique rates include taxes. Level 2 stations are priced by their owners within a grid set by Circuit électrique: a flat rate per charge, a fixed hourly rate, or hourly rates by time slot, with an idle fee on the hourly options once charging ends. Fast charger prices are dynamic, mixing a rate per kWh with an hourly rate when charging slows, and they are indexed at the start of each year under a Quebec government regulation. The exact price at a station shows in the app or on the network map.
Circuit électrique charging in your expenses
The export gives you one file for whatever period you choose. Add the sessions to an expense report when your employer reimburses EV charging, and photograph any paid parking receipt with the receipt scanner. Keep the yearly export with your tax receipts if you claim vehicle expenses.
